Your Place.Plugging in.
You have expectations of your church, and your church has expectations of you. We promise biblical teaching, prayer, care and opportunities for community. We invite five practices in return.
A shareddirection.
We do not expect perfection. We do expect one another to keep moving toward Christ and toward the life of his body.
Be growing.
Keep becoming more like Jesus through Scripture and the Spirit. Sanctification is lifelong, but those who know us best should be able to notice growth.
Be here.
Gather consistently and build relationships beyond the crowd. Life happens and circumstances differ, but presence matters because every member matters.
Be active.
Put your gifts to work for the good of the body and the mission. Church leaders equip the saints; ministry belongs to the whole church.
Be kind.
Practice compassion, patience, forgiveness and unity. Disagree without becoming disagreeable, and do not let quiet sins take root.
Be generous.
Give yourself, your time and your resources with joy. Biblical generosity is worship, not merely institutional maintenance.
Learn them.Put them to work.
Romans 12 (ESV), 1 Corinthians 12 (ESV), Ephesians 4 (ESV) and 1 Peter 4 (ESV) give representative lists of gifts God has given the church. The same Spirit gives varieties of gifts for the common good.
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord.1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (ESV) →
